FAQ
Answers about launching, creator fees, and donation proofs.
Getting started
What is Chary?
A launchpad for Solana memecoins. Every coin gets an address ending in char, and a share of its trading fees is paid to a charity wallet automatically.
Who gets what?
Coins trade on pump.fun, which pays a creator fee on every trade. That fee is split 50% to whoever launched the coin, 10% to one charity wallet, and 40% to Chary. The split is applied in a second transaction right after the coin is created; it is not part of the create transaction.
How much of a trade is that?
pump.fun’s creator fee is currently 0.30% of a trade, so the charity’s 10% of it is about 0.03% of each trade. pump.fun sets that 0.30% and can change it, including to zero.
Can the split be changed later?
No. Once that second transaction lands, the split is sealed and the permission to edit it is destroyed in the same transaction. A split whose admin has not been revoked is not sealed; the coin’s page reports that state rather than calling it sealed. Chary cannot redirect it, reduce it or withhold it. Equally, it cannot correct a mistake. If the split transaction does not land, the coin exists without a charity share, and the site shows that rather than assuming one.
Who is the charity?
Named on the donations page, along with the address published on their Solana donation page, so you can check the two match.
How do I know the money actually arrives?
Every payout is a public Solana transaction. The donations page lists each one with a link to its proof, which you can re-check against any Solana node.
Fees & donations
What does it cost to launch a coin?
About 0.011 SOL, paid by you: account rent for the coin, rent for its fee-split account, and two network fees. You sign one free message to open a session, then approve two transactions: one to create the coin, one for the split. Chary takes no launch fee.
Is the charity share guaranteed?
The share is, once sealed on a deployment that enforces it. The amount is not: it is a percentage of a fee pump.fun sets, so a lower fee means a lower donation, and a coin nobody trades donates nothing.
Trading & risk
Why does my address end in char?
Addresses are generated in advance by brute force until one ends in char or chary. It is cosmetic. It does not make a coin safer or more valuable, and the blockchain does not enforce it.
Does Chary run its own smart contract?
No. Coins are created and traded by pump.fun’s program. Chary supplies the address, the listing and the fee split, and has nothing on chain of its own to upgrade.
Is it audited?
Chary has no on-chain program of its own. The fee rate this site shows is read live from pump.fun’s on-chain account.
What happens when a coin fills its curve?
A completed curve stops trading on pump.fun's curve. Migration to PumpSwap is a separate, permissionless transaction, so completed and migrated are two different states and the site shows which one a coin is in.
What are the risks?
Memecoins are speculative and most lose value. There is no sniper protection and no launch delay, a curve can be drained to zero, and pump.fun controls the fees everything here depends on. Do not spend money you need.
